I just finished the first draft of DEATH OF AN IMMORTAL, my vampire book. I've got it out to a couple of people for copy-editing, but I think the book is more or less complete. One more draft.
Then I'll need to format it and come up with a cover.
I've got an idea for a photoshopped cover, so I'll probably do it myself.
(When I say, by myself, I mean with the help of my tech friend, Aaron, who I have on retainer for credit at my store.)
I think this book is my most polished so far. I like it a lot. I'm ready to put it out.
I've started fiddling with the second book in the LORE series, my fantasy book setting. The first book, THE RELUCTANT WIZARD, has now been copy-edited and is ready for a final draft.
By writing the beginnings of the second book, I've realized I will have to rewrite the last two chapters of the first book. As well, I had a good suggestions of a third storyline in the first book that will probably need a few chapters. So, still work to do.
My second most polished book, but still needs to be revised. I envision this as a trilogy, at least.
(3.) FREEDY FILKINS, INTERNATIONAL JEWELL THIEF, I've already put up for sale on Smashwords, for 2.99. This is my cyperpunk Hobbit book, which I had fun writing, but I think of as a kind of novelty book. Still need to get it on Amazon.
(4.) NEARLY HUMAN, my first effort after coming back to writing, and which I spent over a year and half trying to get into readable form, is twice as big as anything else I've done lately.
I'm beginning to think of it as my "learning" book. I made lots of mistakes writing it and I've been struggling with it ever since. I think it's got some great ideas and some good writing, but I've had a hard time organizing it.
It's currently being copy-edited and when that's finished, I'll probably put it up for sale. I have complete and finished artwork for the cover.
(5.) DEVILTREE. This is the last book I wrote before I took my long hiatus. It's worthy of being published, I think. It's a simple matter of getting it probably formatted. I have the artwork for the cover, which still has to be formatted. Other than that, it's going to be ready to go.
So, I'm back to thinking I can get NEARLY HUMAN, DEVILTREE, and DEATH OF AN IMMORTAL up in the next couple months, probably about the same time.
I'm thinking about putting DEATH OF AN IMMORTAL up on my personal blog as well as on this blog, one chapter per week, something like that.
Once I've got these up and online, I'm finally
